He said true interpretations are true divination but added that, like all other arts in which men have to proceed on conjecture and artificial rules, it is not infallible. Plato on the other hand concurred that dreams were divine manifestations to the soul in sleep.<\/p>\n
Aristotle wrote ” There is a divination concerning some things in dreams not incredible.” The Greek and Latin classics relate many, instances of dream influences. It is said that French philosopher Condorcet thought and wrote trough dreams most of his work and English poet Coleridge wrote his famous poem “Kubla Khan” through dream influence. Camille Flammarion, French astronomer, in his book,” Premonitory Dreams and Divination of the Future” asserted that dreams foretell the future accurately……..<\/p>\n
Philosopher Schopenhauer wrote ” There is nothing in dreams.” and demonstrated his disbelief on the existence of dreams and said ” Intellect is invisible to the man who has none.” Nevertheless, there is an inalienable faith of a majority of population in dreams. It is common experience that dreams demonstrate unknown faculties of soul. No one has yet reasonably attributed the provisions of the future and mental sight of dreams to the neurological functions of human brain.<\/p>\n
Flammarion in his book remarked that” I do not hesitate to affirm at the outset that occurrence of dreams foretelling future events with accuracy must be accepted as certain.” And he further wrote that” We may see without eyes and hear without ears, not by unnatural excitement of our sense of vision or of hearing, for these accounts prove the contrary,but by some interior sense, psychic and mental.” It is argued that soul by its intrinsic vision not only can see what is happening at far away places, but it may also know in advance the future events.<\/p>\n
In 1882 Society for Psychical Research was established in England to verify the claims of individuals who allegedly said to have conversed with the souls of dead people. A comprehensive questionnaire was prepared and widely distributed all over Europe and the United States of America. The response of the questionnaire was published in several volumes. It was definitely established that Telepathy and Subliminal Self are two major branches of knowledge which play an important part in the communication between the human beings and other extraterritorial beings. No plausible explanation for the existence of this faculty was found except that inspiration and dreams were firmly established as an important mode of communication.
\nIn 1900 Freud and a little later Joseph Joster concluded that dreams play an important role in society. They classified dreams into seven types.<\/p>\n

Those dreams where the individual dreamer sees a lot of wealth and on awakening feels miserable.<\/p>\n
2. Failure Dreams<\/p>\n
Success scenes are witnessed in dreams which are not easily realized during awakened period. Such dreams make the individual very happy on awakening. The Islamic view point about the dreams is that thinking process of an individual is ceased during sleep and is regained after awakening.The death and sleeping process are similar in many ways.<\/p>\n
3. Journey Dreams<\/p>\n
Such dreams depict that the dreamer sees himself flying high on top of mountains, staircases,falling from house tops and aeroplane. All such dreams are an indication of misery and stressful environment of an individual.<\/p>\n
4. Hallucinating Dreams<\/p>\n
Dreams where the individual witnesses being followed by someone or engulfing in a tornado represents actual fear of a person which is being manifested in a dream.<\/p>\n
5. Miscellaneous Dreams<\/p>\n
Dreams which depict the individual in prison or under falling buildings or trapped in a closed building. This represents hidden fears of his imagination.<\/p>\n
6. Claustrophobic Dreams<\/p>\n
In such dreams an individual feels trapped in a closed space. This condition is due to a hidden fear in the minds of the dreamers.<\/p>\n
7. Nude Dreams<\/p>\n
