Incident 1:
A person related his dream to Religious leader Muhammad bin Sireen saying that he had seen himself carrying a bag filled with snakes and scorpions. The Religious leader interpreted the dream saying that he had done something as to cause the wicked people to hate him. He said: “Yes, I have been appointed by the Sultan to collect taxes from the Arabs. This has caused them to hate me.”
Incident 2:
Another person revealed his dream to the Religious leader saying that he had seen a snake in his house. It had bitten him on the hand and back causing him much pain. The Religious leader asked: “You have a brother and a sister” He said: “Yes.” The Religious leader said: “Then you have a relative in your home whose heart is filled with malice towards you. Soon he will cause you great harm.” The person said: “I have a step brother who has stolen all that I had inherited. He has absconded since three days.”
Incident 3:
A person said to the learned Religious leader that has a glass bowl in which he eats his food. He saw in his dream that it is filed with ants. The Religious leader asked him whether he has wife. He said: “Yes”. Then he asked him whether he has a slave as well. He said: “Yes”. He said: “Drive him out of your home. There is no goodness in keeping such a slave.” The man returned home depressed and worried. When the wife saw him in a depressed state she asked him the reason. He related to him the advice of the Religious leader. She asked him what he planned to do. He said he planned to sell him. She said: “In that case you may as well divorce me.”
It is said that he sold the slave to a teacher of his. When the wife learned of this she absconded in pursuit of the slave. The husband,, on learning this immediately set off to look for her. He found her in the city Harraan where she had repurchased the slave from his new master and married him.
