There seems to be a mysterious relationship between realm of dreams and state of death of an individual. The individual who dreams wakes up after the process of dream and continues his normal activities of life, whereby a dead person is permanently in a state of trance and all of his physical activities are ceased. Some scientists consider dreaming period an equivalent of death where an individual is permanently in a state of sleep. Dreaming on the other hand is a random and recurring process. A few Muslim saints have written that during sleep the “Soul” or Ruh of an individual leaves the physical body and returns when he wakes up. Whether it is a metaphysical connotation is still an unresolved matter and a controversial issue……
The human soul is considered to be an image of the Creator, which on interaction with the mortal’s body acquires special characteristics. A number of thinkers had gone so far to state that human soul in contact with his body attains animalistic characteristics which manifests its selfishness, greed and cruelty. This aspect is further influenced by the elements of good and bad environment of an individual. The events of awakened period are reflected in the dreams too. All such elements have been said to affect the body.
